Jeff Hardy's Peroxwhy?Gen
Born in the small town of Cameron, North Carolina,
Jeff Hardy grew up with not only a love for wrestling
and motocross, but also with an intense passion for
the arts. “Art is subjective and that’s what I love about
it,” he explains. An avid writer of poetry, Jeff
discovered his musical talent in 1999 with the help of
his friend Junior, a guitar player. “He gave me a blank
canvas to express myself,” Hardy recalls. A fan of all
music, Hardy considers Eddie Vedder, Johnny Cash
and Vanilla Ice as his musical inspirations. “I like to
consider my music genre-less. I have no boundaries.”
After already achieving great success as a professional
wrestler, Hardy established his band, Peroxwhy?gen,
in 2003 and released two consecutive albums. In
2016, he released his first solo project, a six song EP
entitled “Spawn of Me,” that was dedicated to his
daughters. That same year, he also launched his
online web store which features an art gallery with his
original paintings.
“It’s so hard to be an original in today’s world, but no
matter what he does, Jeff is always Jeff,” says
Grammy Award winning producer Dale Oliver. “He’s a
very creative person.”
Hardy continues to use his natural adrenaline rush to
follow his heart in both his career and personal life.
“My family, pro wrestling, motocross, music and
painting are a part of my human anatomy. They are
just as important as my organs. I need them to live!”
